Bailey came to Al & Patti Means as a breed rescue and blended in with the rest of the Bloodhound family and remained on board as an official team member! Bailey had a minimal amount of training but accomplished her American Bloodhound Club "Mantrailer" certification and was utilized on several call-outs in her younger years. We could always tell that Bailey was appreciative of being placed with us, as she seemed to give back by becoming the "guardian angel" for all of our Bloodhounds during her time with us. She would sleep outside as if to guard the others as they slept and protected their home with her deep bark if any strangers approached. Bailey celebrated her 12th birthday in September, 2011 and a month later, passed away peacefully. She has joined her Bloodhound family on the top of our hill and I'm sure she's keeping them all in line!
